Siadja Gallery was originally founded in 1955 under the name Rodja Gallery, a pioneer in "Fine Arts" in the village of Mas. He was a member of Pita Maha, the first art association in Bali. Several of Rodja's works can be seen in the Ratna Wartha Museum which is also an associated member of Pita maha. A more extensive display of his works can be seen at the Siadja Gallery.

Siadja Gallery was the first gallery in Bali and is still active in producing fine art pieces from master carvers. The carvings at Siadja Gallery are produced from a wide variety of wood such as Sandalwood, Ebony, Satinwood, Hibiscus, Frangipani, Crocodile wood and Mahogany. All woods used at Siadja Gallery have been dried naturally of kiln-dried to ensure that the wood will last in various environment without cracking.

Chose your main object..and star to carve.
In this hands-on workshop participants are introduced to some of the basic concepts behind modeling objects in wood. You will become acquainted with the necessary tools and learn basic carving techniques. Under the watchful eye of an instructor, each person will carve a simple object out of the participant. All tools and materials are provided.
